The Oceanfront Hotel

The Oceanfront Hotel is conveniently located on the waterfront in the heart of historic Sointula. With beachfront access you can walk from the ferry.

Your room overlooks Broughton Strait and the beautiful view to Port McNeil. We have the most amazing sunsets, and you can go to sleep with the sound of the waves lapping below your patio door.  There are no mosquitoes, so go ahead and leave your patio door open to catch the ocean breeze.

Many of our rooms are pet friendly and some have heated bathroom floors and towel bars. Bring your kayaks and paddle right from your back yard. Don’t forget your camera. The Resource Centre has free bikes and also some electric bikes for rent during the summer.

There are amazing hiking trails on Malcolm Island and you can walk undisturbed beaches  as far as you can go (if the tide’s out). We can tell you where the best hiking trails are and you can return in time for happy hour on your deck.

Have a visit to the lighthouse or to the whale rubbing beach at Bere Point. The museum is very interesting, and the thrift store (Thursday and Saturday) is always fun to shop in. There are many artist studios and shops to explore, and you can pick up supplies at the the local Co-op Store.

We also have weekly and monthly rates for anyone who doesn’t want to leave!  Give us a call.
