The Old Saltery Pub is also located in the newly renovated Saltery, situated over the water along the boardwalk. Enjoy the picture gallery that is featured on the walls that connect the Pub to the Restaurant, they tell of the history and charm that was and still is Telegraph Cove. Take a good look at the 3-ton engine that sits near the bar, this engine once generated power for Cove. Come in to share tales of the fish you caught and the even bigger ones that got away or tell everyone about the Orcas, dolphins, and eagles you’ve seen.

Important Notice: The Old Saltery Pub in Telegraph Cove was destroyed by fire in December 2024 and is no longer in operation.

While Telegraph Cove remains a beautiful and worthwhile destination for whale watching and exploring the natural beauty of Vancouver Island North, the Whale Interpretive Centre is unfortunately no longer available. We encourage visitors to explore alternative attractions and activities in the area.
