Killer Whale Café

Telegraph Cove’s famous restaurant, the Killer Whale Cafe, is open from Mother’s Day to mid October every year.

The Cafe is located at the far end of the boardwalk in the newly and completely renovated Saltery. The Killer Whale Cafe, built over the water, is known for its yellow cedar post and beam style construction. The restaurant features beautiful copper tables and fittings and one-of-a-kind stained glass windows and doors. You can dine on one of our many seafood specialties and enjoy the atmosphere of the Cove as you are served your meal outside on the sheltered deck. The kitchen can also accommodate large groups and guided tours at the Cove for pre-ordered lunches. Try not to miss the alder smoked Salmon Barbecue! It is the best by far!

While Telegraph Cove remains a beautiful and worthwhile destination for whale watching and exploring the natural beauty of Vancouver Island North, the Whale Interpretive Centre is unfortunately no longer available. We encourage visitors to explore alternative attractions and activities in the area.
